And since it made me cry (I'm such a mom!) I thought I'd make you all cry as well!
Here you go...
A Son's Response.
Mother,
I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me over the past 18 years. You have always been there for me and done not just what was right but what was best for me. There is truly nothing i could ever do to repay you. I figured writing this would be a good start. I want to say sorry for any hardships i might have put you through. Its not that you weren't a good mother, I was just being stupid. But isn't that was the teenage years are for? Next i want to tell you how proud i really am that after all the shit life has thrown your way you have always come out strong. Even though i got my dads look and attitude i sure hope that i have the power to overcome things the way you have. You are without a doubt the strongest person that i know. I know that if Linda and Pappy where still here they would agree with me. You make me so proud to be able to call you my mother. I hope that you can look back in 20 or 30 years and realize how great of a mother you were. Because i know that when i look back on everything, i can see that i was truly blessed to have a mother like you.
I love you every much,
Jordan
Best.Kid.Ever.
Thanks, buddy. I love you too.
Now, if I can just get him to capitalize his "i's", my job will be complete.

I know..you warned me...I should've listened!! (or read this at home! LOL) You've got yourself one hell of a son. And he's got one hell of a mom :)
I knew I liked that kid the minute I met him.
Awww and now I'm crying at work!! How sweet :) You raised a good kid, mom!! :)
julie...beautiful! Hey, until he capitalizes those 'I's' I don't believe he should be able to leave home...As I see it you have a couple more years of work ;)
You are so very blessed, my friend!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Glad you warned me ... your boy is awesome.
Reading this gives me hope tht i will survive the teenage years and the beans will still love me
BEAUTIFUL!
Letters like that are priceless. Thank you for sharing.
Who is the beeaach that says I don't visit your blog daily? Guess I'll have to start leaving my footprints all over the place.
Awesome. Absolutely awesome.
Damn non-waterproof mascara! He should give lessons on how to be a great son!
Awwwwwww! That's so awesome!
Julie remember back when we first "met" and Jordan was Mel's age (like 9 or 10) and he was so cute. Then the junior high and ealy high school years of "I don't want to do my homework."
I am not ready for Mel to grow up just yet but I am dreading the teenage years, but this gives me hope that we will make it through to the other side!!
Grea Job MOM!!
What a great letter from Jordan. It sounds like you have raised a wonderful young man, and it sounds like he knows he has a wonderful woman for a mom.
It made my eyes tear up today. What a wonderful son you have that can recognize this at such a young age. Blessed you are.
Yeah, now I have tears in my eyes. Well, at least you warned me. He sounds like he is an amazing young man, and you are an amazing mom. You have given hope to this single mom.
such a great kid. You are so very lucky and blessed!
Take back the Rolex's, diamonds and whatever other fancy schmancy things that cost big bucks y'all got for the holidays.
You, my friend, just got the most valuable present of all.
The investment on your end was 18 years. The return on your investment was/is huge!!
Congrats on doing what you do right.
Since I never had a son...can you share him???? You have done well, Julie. He is a reflection of all that you have put into him. He may look like his dad but he emulates his mom...tough, strong, caring, wonderful!
Son's are so special!!
That did bring a few tears. Great kid you have there!!
That little bit says volumes about how you raised him and how well you did it...
I have been AWOL for 6 days and have had to catch up with you! LOVED the pictures and the post for Jordan and now I am a bundle of snot and tears. I can't wait to see what life holds for him, as well as for you, my precious friend. I love ya, girlie!!!
Yep, Jordan's letter was a tear jerker. What a great man he has turned out to be - you are both blessed. And Jordan was right Julie, you are a strong person and should be proud of yourself! Happy New Years!!!!
:) :) :) awesome son!
What a sweet young man you have raised! Congratulations...a job well done.
Now I need to go find another tissue.
You asked me for "details woman, details". They are posted on my blog...wanted you to know.
I actually read his comment last night, but was in the middle of my own personal crisis (details Saturday when I see you, errr....when you ignore me for Jesse LOL) and so I didn't comment then.
Karma is a wonderful thing, and it has rewarded you tenfold with Jordan for all of the crap that you've had to deal with in life. I'm not saying you had nothing to do with it, I'm just saying you had some help ;-)
I can count on one hand the number of times you wanted to ring his neck in the past 5 or so years that I've known you - that, in and of itself, speaks volumes. I can't go 10 minutes without wanting to ring Zach's neck LOL
Happy Birthday again, Jordan, and congrats to you, Ma, for having such a great kiddo.
I'll bet he's loving the ego boost from all of these comments, too LOL
Sweet son you got! :)
A Amazing kid from an equally amazing Mother.
And I only know this through blogging but, your amazingness shines through!!
