Happy 2015!

Happy New Year, friends!

I can't believe yet another year has flown by.  Where does the time go?  It seems like it took forever to plan our wedding (15 months from the time we got engaged until the big day) and now we've been married two months already.  Crazy!

In case you didn't notice, I updated my blog layout.  After 6+ years at www.47andstartingover.com I thought it was time to give the old girl a face lift.  After all, we're in our 50's now!  I originally had a puzzle theme all these years, as when I started my blog I was getting over a divorce and felt like I was missing a piece to the puzzle of my life....you know, a sane, normal, functional piece...not that batshit crazy ass cheater I originally tried to fit into the picture.

But then 4 years ago my missing piece returned.  And two months ago I married him.  <3

So now my blog reflects a new era in my life.  The wine drinking era, it seems.  LOL  The picture of me on the wine bottle is from the wedding.  It was my last drink of the night, and I was really happy.  What can I say?  I truly believe life is much better if you can go through it with a little buzz.

OK maybe it's just work that is better that way.  Sigh.

Here's to a great 2015 for us all.  What are your goals for the year?

141 Days....but who's counting?

Boy, time flies when you're planning a wedding!

I haven't done a blog post since last October when we brought our delicious baby Tolinka home to live with us. She's spoiled beyond belief, and loved without excepetion. She's a momma's girl big time, but she loves her daddy too. To say we treat her as our baby is an understatement. She and Mora (my granddog as you remember) are best friends, and love to play together.

So the wedding is officially 141 days away. How did that happen?? When I started that count to the right, there were 500+ days! Everything is set, all the plans in motion. Now it's just a waiting game, really. We're having a Hallowedding...getting married on 10/31 at what will be a big ass costume party with vows! Michael and I are dressing as a Steampunk Bride & Groom, and my dress will be purple.

While I doubt I have many readers left, know that I think of you all often, and am grateful for the friends I made as a blogger. (Some of which are coming to the wedding!!!) I'll be back in November with a recap of the wedding!

Please welcome our new addition....

This is Tolinka! She is about to turn three years old, and she is Mora's aunt! We adopted her this weekend, and she's fit right in with us.

Such a love bug.
