My boss owns a condo right on Lake Shore Drive, just a mere blocks from where the conference is going on...and flights are dirt cheap, so why NOT go? Got a great place to stay, and good friends to meet up with. It's a win win.
Is anybody else going? Can Sandi and I convince you to go, and we can have one big ass party while we're there? Hell, skip the daily conference, go shopping on Michigan Avenue, and get done in time for the cocktail parties at night. Sounds like a plan to me!

Today is my nephew Ryan's 5th birthday. Happy Birthday, little buddy. Saturday is my MUCH OLDER sister's birthday as well. I'll give her a blog post dedicated solely to her...much to her chagrin I'm sure!
Last but not least, I truly believe whole grain English muffins with Earth Balance (aka "healthy butter"ish) and strawberry jam makes my eyes glaze over with an intense pleasure otherwise reserved for fantasies of Edward Cullen. (Yeah, I just threw that name in there to send Tiff into a tizzy!)

Oh the dreams I have of running away....er I mean, taking a nice vacation alone. Unfortunately not in the cards for me. Credit cards that is, or cold hard cash. Clamped down here pretty hard. But if you have the means, go and have a blast!

I want to go, it's almost in backyard, but far enough that I would need to stay overnight if I went to the actual Blogher convention and I just don't have the cash for that now. But I am all up for crashing the party, if I can figure how they wouldn't notice.

Bagman was planning to go! When Butler and I found out he had already purchased some dresses ala Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. Butler took away his ticket to Chicago and Baggie is now crying with disappointment.
I have to admit that I'm interested but a little intimidated. I think it would be a great time but maybe next year.

hmmm.... Chicago is only 4 hours away from Wisconsin..... but we are expecting a storm tonight with threats of 10 inches of snow. So if you do take a road trip - be warned.

I would LOVE to go. I don't really know what it's about or what they do there, but in any case I can't afford it this year. Maybe next year, when I make some actual money off my writing.
