Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.
As the trip was a long and quiet one , she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride.
With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.
Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.
'What in bag?' asked the old woman.
Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, 'It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband.'
The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said:
'Good trade.....'

OK Megryansmom and Travel Girl...you don't know what Sweet Tea is? Seriously? Am I to assume you've never been in the South?????? Sweet tea is just what is sounds like, iced tea made with tons of sugar! I never, ever put sugar in my tea (I'm a Splenda kind of gal) but when I travel in the southern states, I always have some. It's just SOOOOO good. And Cheri always makes sweet tea at her house so I still travel south (granted, only 50 miles!) to get it!

JillJill and Airmanmom, since you liked my jeans so much, I took a picture of the detail on them for you to swoon over! This is the left leg, and then there is a little bit of it going down the back of the leg from the pocket as well. I also have them in regular blue denim with brown embellishment! (When I find stuff I like, I buy it in every color!)

I wasn't kidding when I said we should consider a bloggers weekend in Vegas. Fly in Thursday, fly out Sunday. C'mon...who's in? We could do it early next year, like March'ish. Why, just in time for my birthday on March 22! What a coincidence!
*********************************************
To my anonymous commenters....PLEASE identify yourselves so I know who is talking to me. Fortunately I haven't gotten any nasty anonymous comments (and I know many of you other bloggers have so I feel pretty lucky so far) but every time I get one that doesn't leave me some idea of who it is, I have to go back to my analytics and figure out who was on at what time and narrow it down. So save me the trouble and just identify yourself somehow! Just use an initial or something. Even if you are a stranger to me, I'll at least know which comments are yours! Thanks...

It was a slow Bachelor weekend (no dysfunction to be found!) but there's a cute one on the periphery who seems pretty normal! Stay tuned, with any luck I'll be blogging about him in a very positive way soon!

That's great!! LOL I cannot believe people don't know what sweet tea is! Oh the horror!!
Well thank you for clearing that up for me. I've been to the south, kind of. Louisville, Atlanta, Florida doesn't count cuz it's not really the south.
I'll probably be able to walk by March... lol
@vinnie...you'd better be able to do more than that! ;)
Thanks for closeup of the jeans. Now I want them more than ever. Where, child, did you get them? And the Vegas thing? COUNT ME IN!!!!! March sounds great.
Love the jeans and the jokes!
@jill...they came from Kohl's last year. Do you have those in Tex-ass?
OMG sweet tea.......Never knew what it was until I moved down south. Now, I cannot live without it!!!!

I like my Sweet Tea with a little something extra.
And the Vegas thing sounds good, but probably not for me.
LOL Julie I can do THAT now you'll just have to be a little gentle with me... Hehehehehehe ;-)
@vinnie...get your mind out of the gutter. I wasn't talking about *that*. (at least not publicly, I might however talk privately about it! LOL)
Oh, and sweetie, I'm not gentle. I'm a fucking wildcat. ;)
I have no doubt that you are, and no doubt it would be worth hurting my knee again for...

How wise that Indian woman was . I think I could have traded an empty bottle of wine for my ex...
Love the detail on those jeans and no, I didnt know what sweet tea was but assumed it may have something to do with sugar.

~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Does Ohio count as the South??? If it does, I've been to the south when I was 17 years old. Short, and sweet but no sweet tea;)
I didn't drink any sweet tea.
I am SO up for Vegas in March!!!
Cute jeans!
Sweet tea ~ yeah, good with a little something extra in it.
