OK well truth is, my tree is up....and I have started a little shopping. "Little", being the operative word there. I hate shopping, you people know this about me! I always wait til the last minute, or shop online. Can't. Stand. Crazy. Christmas. Shoppers.
Jordan is easy to shop for this year. He wants an Apple gift card for the new version of iPad when it comes out in the spring.
My challenge is buying for Michael. You know the feeling....in love and wanting to buy everything you see? I have to seriously edit myself.
But really, let's face it....he's got ME. What more could he really need?

This snow we're getting tonight really isn't doing a DAMN thing for me!!! Yes, I believe we were wearing flip flops last week... Damn Ohio weather....

I remember my first Christmas with LW. I bet I spent almost $1000 on him!!! I couldn't figure out what to get him so I bought him everything..LOL

I am like you shopping is not not my best thing to do. I do not mind buying and giving to others, just never know what to buy. Then I become frustrated. You are lucky to have so few to buy for. I have way too many and plan on cutting back next year. I am getting too old for this nonsense. Missed you this year on the SSS. Tell Danica I am always glad hearing from her and that I am doing fine. Trust all is well with her. When you love someone, you will be able to find the right gift. I have no doubt you will take care of him.
I'm with you! I hate shopping, and my Mike already has everything he's ever wanted--including me. Why can't the holidays be like leap year? I might get into the spirit then, but since I'm not religious, it seems like a giant hassle. Bah!

That's why I shop for nice cards, write checks, and mail them. I cannot stand what Christmas has become. My decorating amounts to a string of multi-colored rope lights around my patio. Eddie and I don't buy gifts for each other cuz we buy for each other as needed during the rest of the year. The father I am from the hustle bustle and craziness, the better. No expectations make for a great holiday and dinner with a few friends that I make one dish for and somebody else does the dishes is my kind of eatin'! No family fights, no wearing myself out trying to please everyone, and no work to dismiss the season's left over decorations and mess. Simplification is what we all finally realize works best!
Since November completely evaporated...and I have had the sinus infection from hell which has kept me down for over two weeks now...Christmas is going to toned down drastically this year for us. We'll focus on the grandbabies.
May I make a suggestion for your gift to Michael? Begin a special tradition...just something for the two of you. Simple is best. Just a thought...

december? what happened to 1989? I have not started shopping either...I tell myself all year I am going to make things for people, and I half heartedly do it all year, but there is never enough in a state of completion by the time I need it.....so I stress all year, and end up buying candles anyway....sigh
I am sssssssoooooooooooo ready for this holiday. I seriously had the bulk of my gifts wrapped in October. I kid you not. It is December hun, and you have an awesome guy to go w/your awesome son to celebrate with this year. So I give you permission to go a little nuts this year!
